Blepharoplasty
The operation is performed on an outpatient basis, with discharge on the same day. Sedation is provided to ensure maximum comfort. The procedure is totally painless, with rapid recovery. Both the upper and lower eyelid can be performed in the same session. The execution time is variable, but generally around 1 hour for the upper eyelids and 1.5h for the lower eyelids.
The downtime of the surgery is approximately 7 days, after which the stitches are removed. Transient bruising and swelling may occur in the first few days. It is important to always protect yourself from the sun with glasses and, if necessary, a hat to allow optimal healing of the scars. It is a procedure that I recommend to perform in autumn or spring, avoiding the warmest months.
